I always laugh when I hear statements like “As a Christian you can’t do anything…” or “Christians can’t have fun, they’re boring…” The thing is that we’re all sinners. The only difference is that Christians are sinners redeemed by grace.

As believers, we can still do anything, anything at all, but since we made a choice to follow Christ, we choose not to do things that do not bring Him glory. Paul teaches us in Galatians‬ ‭5:13‬ “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

To be free is to know that we have the ability to choose what to do with our freedom. To be free in Christ is to be truly free…

Jesus says that “everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.” Slaves don’t have a choice. Those who are free, do. So as believers choose to be free by serving one another through love…
