I was visiting some friends this past Sunday & as I was about to leave it began to rain. It’s been really hot so a little rain was a bit of relief, but the light rain quickly became a bad storm.
The sky became very dark & the boom of thunder came & shook everything. When my son heard this he came running to me because he became afraid & looked to me for safety. As soon as I picked him up & held him tight, he looked at me & smiled. He then pointed outside & began to speak in what we can only call jibber jabber!
I looked at my friends, the Mawer’s & said “that preaches!” & they laughed. In Psalm 121 verses 1 & 2, David says “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” & in Proverbs 18:10, Solomon says “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.”
Storms will always come, lighting will always strike & thunder will always roar, how good is it to know that we can run to our Father in heaven & be safe…
